Tyler Security was formed in 2007 to meet a need for a superior standard of canine security support in the public domain.  Drawing on over 30 years of experience with the Metropolitan Police, company founder Rowland Stone endeavoured to create a service offering an unparalleled level of professionalism, skill and integrity by utilising only former Police force dog handlers and security personnel.  The years of experience, specialist training and finely honed situational awareness brought by the former officers enables Tyler Security to provide a service of exceptional quality and efficiency.

With over 20 dog and handler teams, several specialist Search Advisers and a proven track record of high profile event and venue security, we are confident in our ability to meet your security needs. We are proud of our uniquely trained workforce and our ability to operate reliably and effectively in sensitive, complex and dangerous situations.

Taking care of our dogs

The welfare of our dogs is paramount to our company ethos. We believe that healthy, well cared for dogs will perform most effectively and reliably in challenging situations, meaning it is in everyone's best interest that they are kept and trained with the highest quality of care. Each dog working for us is owned by their handler and enjoys a strong bond with them, often spanning many years of working together.  Dogs are trained to NPCC (formerly ACPO) standards and engage in regular refresher training.
